A.R.D Bakery is a Glasgow wedding cake designer specialising in modern cakes and chocolates with a unique, graphic style.
Run by Alison, who trained in Sculpture before moving into fashion, designing bags, shoes and jewellery for various high end fashion labels. Baking has always played an important part in my life, and A.R.D Bakery is the fusion of these 2 passions. It is a combination of classic baking with a high end design led aesthetic, and my approach to designing cakes is very much the same as that of fashion.
Drawing on the playfulness of the Memphis group and retro graphics, I combine bold graphic prints with hand painted chocolate work to create a unique style.
These cakes are designed to be fun, graphic led sculptural pieces that are also delicious to eat.
