The Edinburgh Larder is a bit of an institution in the Old Town. Tucked away on Blackfriars Street we have been merrily cooking for our customers from across the globe for 8 years. Our ethos is inspired by the Slow Food movement, focussing on delicious seasonal produce sourced from local growers, farmers and suppliers.
We are passionate about honest good food, simple ingredients, and complex flavours. Many of our dishes feature foraged ingredients from the abundant ‘Scottish Larder’. Our menus reflect our seasonal approach and offer an abundant array of balanced dishes, all designed to complement one another beautifully. We prefer a rustic and laid-back approach to enjoying food, whether it be a wholesome buffet, sharing platters, a 3 course dinner or a good old barbecue and hog roast. (with an organic hog from Peelham Farm) The attention to every detail, from the freshest seasonal herbs to the most colourful edible flower make all the difference.
We work closely with Edinburgh Food Social, a social enterprise company, and some of our menus support their ongoing projects. The EFS Food Truck will happily come along to your big day and serve good hearty food to your guests. Giving something back and being a fair and ethical business is at the heart of everything we do and we know we share our ethos with many of our loyal customers.
