Kitchen East is run by Polly and Hannah. We are two chefs who have worked for over a decade in restaurants including The Gardener’s Cottage, Inver, Riverford at the Duke of Cambridge and The Edinburgh Larder.

Our love of cooking has led us to create Kitchen East where we offer bespoke, modern catering for a wide range of events. We particularly love catering for weddings and offer an informal, thoughtful and creative approach. It is an unbelievable privilege to cook for a couple and their loved ones on their wedding day.

Our menus are inspired by what is in season. We work with an amazing network of organic farms, foragers and artisan producers.

Our general style is rustic yet full of detail, colourful and creative. Vegetables generally take centre stage but we also enjoy cooking with meat and fish and always choose organic or wild.

We also have a deep love of Indian and Middle Eastern food, feasting and the sharing plate culture. We have found this style works really well for weddings and enjoy mixing this with plated courses.

We are nature lovers and run our business in a way that is respectful of people and this beautiful planet. We make every effort to ensure our practices are as ethical and sustainable as possible.
We are Edinburgh based but have cooked all over the country including some of the remoter parts and are very happy to travel.
