In recent times, maximalism has well and truly taken firm hold, whether it’s in weddings, fashion, interiors, or something else. But if you’re looking for a simpler, elegant, more minimalist approach to your wedding – that’s no less breathtaking – you’re probably looking for inspiration that’s a little different.
This Stunning Simplicity shoot by Anemone Style has not one, not two, but three looks that will do just the trick. “The concept for this editorial is about stripping back the fuss and fluff often associated with weddings, and instead focussing on the beauty that can be found in simplicity.” Martha explains. “This felt particularly relevant after a year of ‘undoing’ our preconceptions of what a wedding should be, and finding ways to celebrate in smaller yet incredibly meaningful ways.
“I wanted to create a look that was understated but still expressive and impactful. A look that could be achieved whether you have a minimalist or maximalist budget. It’s about considered design decisions and the quality of each individual component rather than excess. The overall style is clean, contemporary and sculptural. It could look equally striking in a modern urban wedding venue as well as a more classical building like RSA House. What I love about this design is the confidence in pairing things back. This felt perfectly aligned with Nina’s modern editorial photography style.” It also worked brilliantly with the incomparable talents of videographers Zach&Grace Films, whose work you can see above.
“We had such an amazing supplier team on board for this shoot, showcasing the work of some of the UK’s most talented wedding creatives. It was a joy to see everyone create together on shoot day. The combination of stunning towers of white flowers by Blooming Haus, phenomenal cake artistry of La Boheme Cake Design, understated yet luxurious stationery by Lilac and White, and stylish furniture and decor provided by The W Collection prove less can indeed be more.
“When it came to the bridal looks it’s pure modern romance with a fashion forward look. Our model Terri wore the stunning gowns by Emma Beaumont with aplomb, paired with gorgeous Gaia Studio jewellery, Botias Accessories, and Harriet Wilde shoes. And Abi Taylor worked her magic to celebrate Terri’s natural beauty.”
