Four words for Bon Bridé’s newest bridal collection: Oh, hell, yes, and please.
If you’ve come across Bon Bridé and/or founder Pippa Cooke before, you may recognise the distinctive BB style already. It’s the epitome of how minimalist aesthetic can have maximum impact; how understated can be anything but underwhelming.
Pippa rebels against the notion that a wedding, and indeed a wedding dress, has to be timeless. ‘It’s not ‘timeless’ and it doesn’t claim to create classic pieces,” she says of Bon Bridé. “It’s understated, and it’s modern”. Above all, it’s simple, effortless, and highly effective.
With her newest collection, Volume 02, you can expect to see this signature simplicity combined with bold shapes, powerful silhouette, low necklines, luxe separates, volume and drape. In comparison to the long sleeves and high necklines of Volume 01, this collection bares more skin: “We are exhibiting our bodies, our personalities and our strength as we choose and as we mean to go on.”
This new collection also includes separates for the first time, including a twisted top, a draped skirt, a power blazer, and some city shorts to die for. On top of that, Pippa and her team have introduced new fabrics to the collection, and have built an even stronger foundation of longevity and wearability into their brand. (Their studio is additionally zero waste.)
The COLLECTION 02 campaign was shot in the Atelier in London, by the talented Joanna Brown Photography, with Quelle Bester behind the beauty. Pippa explains; “The Atelier is a place so close to our home and hearts: a sanctuary filled with a small team of incredible women who work so hard to make each piece unique by hand.” With this in mind, there was no better place to show off the new pieces than where they were painstakingly, lovingly made.
