real wedding –  Modern, Relaxed London Town Hall Wedding

11 March 2021

Today on the blog we have a gorgeous London Town Hall wedding for you, courtesy of Francesca from Primrose Weddings and Events.

Franceli and Richard married at The Old Marylebone Town Hall, one of the most iconic London Town Hall wedding venues, and followed up with celebrations at St Bart’s Brewery in Farringdon. Their style was a contemporary take on classic, with beautiful white floral arrangements framing their ceremony in the wood-panneled ceremony room. Afterwards, they made their way down the grand steps of the Town Hall to be greeted with showers of confetti lovingly pelted by their friends and family.

After their ceremony, they all hopped on a traditional red London Routemaster bus to travel from the ceremony to the venue. Franceli and Richard had wanted to provide drinks for their guests for the journey, and Francesca from Primrose had helped source some Quello, sparkling wine that comes in cute little cans, which went down a treat. Francesca travelled with them on the bus, and describes the scenes as electric: “It was all beautiful – the atmosphere on the bus was incredible as the groom’s father led a sing along on the top deck!”

St Bart’s Brewery was warm and cosy, ready for their arrival, the long tables set with flickering pillar candles that cast a warm glow around the room. The tables were named after their favourite locations, as they wanted the day to honour both of their roots – Franceli is from Brazil, and Richard is from Yorkshire – as well as paying homage to the city they fell in love in, London (where they had their first date, on Valentine’s Day!) The thoughtful touches they incorporated to do this also included traditional Brazilian treats in the form of Bem Casados, delicious Brazilian wedding cookies.

Thanks so much to Francesca for sharing these gorgeous images with us, taken by the wonderful Agnes Black!
