real wedding –  beautiful Edinburgh city microwedding with Laura Ironside & Rose and Ammi

17 November 2020

We literally gasped when we saw these images posted by our lovely directory member Laura Ironside, because they’re a perfect snapshot of happiness and peace and sun-soaked love.

We asked their talented photographer Sinead Firman to see more, which we’re delighted to be sharing with you today, as a gorgeous example of an Edinburgh microwedding.

“To me, this wedding represented all things tasteful, understated and simple, while still being exceptionally striking.” Sinead explains. “Ally and Marty’s attention to detail brought everything together so perfectly. The struggle of having to reschedule and rethink everything, along with the wonderful news of a baby on the way, meant a lot of changes to original plans.” Their new plans meant a more intimate civil ceremony, which Sinead says was “perfectly modest and completely touching”, before exploring the beautiful cobbled streets of Edinburgh in the dappled sun.

Ally wore a beautiful silk bias cut dress by Laura Ironside, which had been the dress she’d originally planned to wear to her ceremony in May, and was still perfect for her August ceremony with an added family member on the way! The draped detailing around the waist allowed plenty of room for her little, growing bump. She also wore a velvet bow in her hair and a ring by Cecilia Stamp, whilst Martin wore a preloved suit.

The finishing touches were brought to the day by Rose & Ammi, who provided a beautiful bouquet bursting with a mix of fresh and dried flowers with pops of refreshing blue and yellow.

Congratulations Ally and Marty! You can see more of their gorgeous wedding below…
