Aberdeen styled shoot –  modern pink and lilac alternative wedding styling

When we saw these gorgeous images from Emma Lawson, our eyes nearly popped out of our heads. A fresh, modern take on pink and lilac wedding styling? We’re here for it! *nail paint emoji*

This shoot, held at the Anatomy Rooms, is a meeting of minds from a group of alternative Aberdeen wedding suppliers (many of whom are TWC members too, of course!) It was masterminded by Kim Dalglish, a modern luxe wedding florist of dreams, and Jenn from Linton & Mac, purveyors of the coolest bridal hair. They wanted to play around with some alternative bridal looks for spring/summer, and landed on this gorgeous pink and lilac wedding styling, with a modern twist.

“Bridal floristry trends this last while have been very foliage heavy focused, and I wanted to show how you could achieve a beautiful soft and dreamy look with some big blousey florals.” Kim explains. “Lots of pinks, lilacs and peaches with some dried grasses and coloured leaves too – a truly modern and alternative look and perfect for the more stylish and fun bride. The Linton & Mac girls also wanted to showcase some sleeker hair looks with natural and glowy make up too.”

Kim showed Karla from Paper Skeleton her brand new set of black propware – a super chic modern selection of grid walls, lanterns and candlesticks – and Karla set to work designing the most amazing signage to complement. It’s a perfect showcase of Karla’s signature style, modern, effortlessly cool wedding stationery that still has heart and soul oozing from every pore.

The bridalwear was provided by Ivory Grace, a unique bridal shop in Aberdeen’s West End, complimented by modern groom’s looks from ASOS. The amazing floating cake was made by Love Laura Lane, who we think might be part cake maker, part magician…and last, but no means least, is Emma Lawson, who took the amazing photos. “Emma’s images as always, are just incredible!” Kim says. “This girls talent has no bounds!”
