COCKTAILS AND BIKES AND GOOD TIMES FOR YOUR WEDDING.
Look, there’s no hyperbole on our part when we say we think the TGC gents have had the best idea since BEFORE sliced bread. Yep, we said it. We won’t spoil it for you, but the The Travelling Gin Co. are a drinks station for your wedding that are not only bringing the substance with their delicious, artisanally crafted cocktails, but are bringin the style too, with their curation of lovingly preserved and restored bikes (or, should we say, gin receptacles. Though everything’s a gin receptacle if you try hard enough). They’re the it-boys of the wedding and events world, and we see very good reason as to why.
WHO ARE YOU + WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Edward Godden & Joseph Lewis.
Peckham, south-east London.
DESCRIBE YOUR WORKPLACE
A studio packed full of bicycles and booze!
We have built a private bar space, specifically for designing new menus, as well as hosting couples’ for wedding day taste testings.
WHERE/HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?
We became friends whilst working at a recording studio.
Both being fans of cycling (and drinking…but never simultaneously!).
Joe sourced a 1948 postal bike, with a decent sized front basket, choosing it to be his wheels of choice, for a trip from LDN > Amsterdam with uni friends.
It became apparent that the bike worked pretty well as a mini G&T bar.
We then provided drinks for a friend’s exhibition on Redchurch St, all the way back in 2011 from the vintage bicycle.
Our interest in cocktail making grew as did our business popularity, where we now function internationally.
