Crear Weddings
Crear is what you get if you think “What’s the most romantic, dreamy venue I can possibly imagine?”, and then bring those thoughts into reality. With a bright, airy, blank canvas space inside, looking out onto the Western Isles of Jura, Gigha and Islay – plus a private sandy beach, no biggy – Crear is one of our fave wedding venues Scotland for SURE.
Comrie Croft
Any wedding venue that invites you to turn your wedding into a house party is a-okay with us, but Comrie Croft truly is very special. The plot itself is a 200-year-old farmstead, meaning that alongside a total DIY wedding barn, there’s accommodation to fit 74 people (plus fields for glamping, if you so wish). The team at Comrie Croft positively welcome you to make this space your own for the weekend, making it a real home from home.
Guardswell Farm
Guardswell Farm is a venue like no other. Their main steading is a modern take on a rustic blank canvas, perfect for a laidback, wedding for a modern, design-led couple; but they also have 150 hilltop acres to utilise too, as well as Huts and Houses on site. They’ve perfectly blended contemporary design with nature, getting the total best of both worlds. (It’s also an excellent mini-moon destination, so it really does have it all!)
Cambo Estate
Cambo Estate really is a lil’ slice of heaven on the Fife coast (and we literally mean on the coast, as it has its own private beach). It has the main Country house, a secret walled garden, a tattie shed and rustic outbuildings, all situated amongst beautiful grounds, magical woodland and aforementioned beach to make sure your day is truly unforgettable. Whether you’re wanting soft romance or dramatic, historic surroundings, Cambo has it in buckets.
Secret Herb Garden
We may have never promised you a rose garden, but we can guarantee you The Secret Herb Garden – and that’s much better, in our humble opinion. It’s the most incredible setting for a wedding ceremony or reception as you can get married within the actual Glasshouse itself, surrounded by hundreds of gorgeous plants and growing herbs. Not only does it look incredible, but it means your guests are swept up in a sensory whirlwind, with the most delicious smells too. You get the best of both worlds: being surrounded by nature, but served by the infrastructure of the very talented team there.
Netherbyres House
If you think it looks great from the outside, just wait til you see it from the inside! Netherbyres House is a Victorian mansion with super modern, artful decor throughout. Think bold colours, style-led wallpaper and the furniture of an interior designers’ dream in the 9 ensuite guest bedrooms – perfect for your family and friends to stay the whole weekend! – and that’s without even mentioning the split-level ceremony room flooded with gorgeous light.
Riddle’s Court
You may well think that the phrases ‘tranquil oasis’ and ‘Edinburgh’s Royal Mile’ don’t go together, but Riddle’s Court is here to prove you wrong. A hidden gem studded in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, its painted ceilings and original features mean it’s full of character, without being overbearing. This in turn makes it a gorgeous wedding venue, ready for couples looking for a city wedding imbued with the stories of those who’ve strolled the streets before them.
Roulotte Retreat
A Roulotte is a French Romany palace on wheels – a magnificently intricate, artistic palace. Now, imagine a circle of these, made from hand-carved oak, all around a lochan, which is in turn in a beautiful wildflower meadow – and you’re imagining Roulotte Retreat. Opulent yet intimate at the same time, Roulotte Retreat is the most romantic destination for a small wedding or elopement. The insides of the roulottes are as magical as the outsides, bedecked in silks and velvets, and featuring wood burning stoves (as well as of the normal bits, obviously.)
Aswanley
There’s something very intriguing about Aswanley, with its interconnected rooms, magical gardens and spacious Victorian barn. It’s a place where you can feel heart and soul through every brick and beam, making it the perfect wedding venue to mark your love story. Plus, Aswanley has in-house wedding co-ordinators who are dedicated to making your wedding day run as smoothly as possible – job’s a goodun!
Roodlea Barn
Looking for a rustic wedding venue in Scotland? Roodlea Barn‘s got your back. It’s a truly unique and beautiful ceremony space with offers a winning combo of rustic stone walls, a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and stunning chandeliers. Later, after your guests have spent time soaking up the sun on the decking, checking out the cosy bar space or exploring the beautiful scenery in front of the pond, the barn is the perfect place for dining and dancing.
The Barn At Harburn
The Barn at Harburn is a rustic home from home, a barn that’s been gracefully and lovingly renovated to become the ultimate wedding venue. We especially love its unique roundhouse space, with French windows that open onto rolling greenery and the Pentland Hills beyond. As well as the roundhouse, it has the granary space, a similarly beautiful piece of architecture with exposed stone and intricate beams.
