with What Lydia Made loveliness –  sustainable hen party inspiration from the McGlynn Sisters

26 August 2019

Feast your eyes upon this gorgeousness from the McGlynn Sisters – it’s the soft, peachy-toned Sunday afternoon of our dreams, and is the perfect sustainable hen party inspiration for brides looking to keep their eco-credentials:

“For a long time we’ve wanted to do a shoot that reflected our ideal values and aesthetic: we love supporting artists and independent businesses, we want to see more body positivity & inclusivity in styled shoots, we are passionate about climate change activism, as well as ethical and sustainable business models. We were fangirling Lydia’s amazing pant set designs on instagram pretty hard and eventually reached out and asked if she would be interested in doing a shoot together. I also love Brochan the vegan cafe in Edinburgh and Elaine the owner mentioned that she was interested in maybe branching out into hen parties and so the Porridge and Pants shoot was born. All of the vendors involved in this shoot were chosen both because they are at the top of their game, but also because they prioritise ethics & sustainability in their business models. Blooming Routes only uses British flowers in her designs; Lydia hand makes all of her pants sets and has revolutionised what it means to be size inclusive; Brochan Cafe is 100% vegan and uses locally sourced ingredients. We had a fabulous time collaborating with all of these amazing business ladies.”
