wedding inspo –  Contemporary and Wild Autumnal Wedding Shoot with to-die-for florals

21 January 2019

Have we got a stunner for you on the blog today! That’s a rhetorical question pals because yes, yes we do. This gorgeous autumnal beauty was the brainchild of the fabulous florist Kim Dalglish (coming to the Collective soon!), putting a glamourous twist on the season.

Not one look – not even two looks – but she’s graced us with three different autumnal styles that are all as smokin’ hot as the other. (The first is a mega glam Hollywood-esque style, with long waves from Linton & Mac, the most divine pearl hair slides, and a high necked dress of dreams.) All of the looks were inspired and surrounded by Kim’s elegant and whimsical florals in a super warm palette and totally wild shapes and arrangements. Explosions of foraged foliage and fluffy blooms sit amongst the super elegant backdrop of Fasque Castle. Paper Skeleton echoed this natural, organic style with deep berry shades for the menus, featuring torn edges and fern detailing on the table plan. We’ve totally fallen for fall, guys…

“My inspiration behind the shoot was all about Autumn’s natural beauty,” Kim explains. “Emma and I had been in touch with each other for a while and finally we had a date, and I was so excited! I contacted all the suppliers involved, they are all insanely talented in their own niche of the bridal market and girls I regularly recommend to my brides. So the dream team was assembled.” (and we’re very proud to say that many of them are The Wedding Collective members, natch). “Rae Mathieson (make up artist) and I worked on some mood boards, starting with a muted Autumn/Winter palette including berry tones, nude golds and lots of green, and then everyone pulled together for it. We wanted to create some seriously luxurious but at the same time ultra modern looks. Our models Hannah and Jamal were perfect for our look too. Her red hair!”
