Roll up rolllll up – have you heard the coolest wedding collective in the country (that’s us)  are bringing the hottest suppliers to The Engine Works for a sunday afternoon bridal market? We don’t mean to toot our own horns, but F it we’re tooting – on the 28th October we’ve got loads of incredible suppliers coming to meet you lovely lot, and hopefully solve those last wedding woes that you have.

Our markets are an escape from the maddening crowd; a calm and pally approach to planning that doesn’t leave you stressed, totally overwhelmed, or feeling physically bruised from aggressive sales tactics. We pledge to save you from the godawful Google trawl of wedding planning, instead connecting you with super talented and super lovely wedding suppliers who can make your wildest wedding dreams come true.

Meet the dreamtime suppliers we have for you below:

If you’ve got a twinkle in your eye for a twinkle in your wedding outfit, we’ve got you covered. You’ll be able to meet the lovely Rene Walrus, who makes the most incredible vintage-inspired accessories perfect for the modern day; the super talent that is Alison Macleod Jewellery and her jewellery that pays homage to antique heirlooms; and contemporary queen Katie Lees Jewellery with her cutting-edge designs. Making her market debut and joining us from London is AM Faulkner whos fresh eye is leading the way in modern bridal designs. Thinks textured veils + unique hair decor pieces.

Make-up artists can be a major thing, as it’s not just about how good their photos look on the ‘gram – you want to make sure you feel comfortable in their hands and really get on with them on the day. We’ve got you covered with some incredible MUAs at the market:  Heather Snowie Make-Up Artist, queen of elegant and editorial-style bridal looks will be there.  And the gorge Rae Mathieson, who’s make-up travels and skills are super impressive, will be there. And wedding veteran Kate Elliot-Muir will be on hand to chat all things hair and beauty too!

Lads, ladies and lovelies, we’ve got you covered with the selection of wedding attire that will be at the market. There’s nothing like seeing dresses in real life and feeling the gorgeous fabrics, so we’re delighted that you’ll be able to see the 1930s-inspired modern cuts from Laura Ironside on her market debut and some modern aussie designer numbers from meringue-free boutique Unbridaled. The Ten30 boys will also be there with their super stylin’ tweed suits for those looking to inject some creativity and personality into their wedding day.

We legitttt cannot stress enough how important it is to get on with your photographer, so meeting them beforehand is a must, if you can. Luckily all of our curated ‘togs & film-makers are not only super talented creative geniuses, each bringing something magical and different to documentary reportage, but also the perfect people to have around to capture your moments (both big and small).

Meet the lovely Sequoia and Sam from Mirrorbox Photography, Nikki from Nikki Leadbetter Photography, Lauren of Lauren McGlynn Photography, and Solen Photography and her ‘wee team of lady legends’.  Those cinematic experts Cinemate will be on hand for chatting all about their epic footage; Boda Productions is another don’t miss for beautiful documentary footage.

We’ve lucked out with our stationery selection: The Passenger Press will be at the market to answer all of your pressing (geddit!) stationery queries and give you a chance to see their gorgeous creations up close and personal; all of their stationery is printed on an antique treadle press, giving it the most incredible texture and raised feel. e.y.i love will also be there to showcase their luxury wedding collections and talk passionately about all things print, design and font to nail your suite. It’s the thing that will set the tone for your big day, so it’s important to get it right! And if fun and colourful is more your style – don’t miss a chat with Laura Henderson about her hand illustrations and cute bespoke options too!

Ticking off the venue from your to-do list can be the biggest relief, so we’re thrilled to say we’ve got the wonderful Riddles Court exhibiting at our market. Riddles Court is one of Edinburgh’s most loved venues, hosting people in love and helping them celebrate their big day for over 200 years, so they’ll definitely be able to help with yours…

Sheila the celebrant will also be on hand to answer any ceremony questions you might have about making it officila (but also a total hoot) on the day.

With these markets, it’s super important to us that we create a space and enviornment that makes you feel relaxed and like you’re actually enjoying yourself, rather than anxious, out-of-place or plain bored. The wonderful Jess at How Bizarre Rugs works towards much the same basis, providing rug setups and decor for your wedding so that it feels less like an empty venue and more like the home of one of the best days of your life.  Also making her market debut is Robins Eggs Styling who will help you create & realise your dream wedding day aesthetic. This will be one stall not to miss!

Let’s talk about scran, baby, let’s talk about you and me…we’ll have some of our favourite caterers at the market to talk you through the dish delish options they can serve up for you, with The Pantry Edinburgh ready to discuss street food from their trusty Tuck Truck (you gotta try that luxury Mac’ n Cheese!) , and Bespoke Catering who – like the name suggests – create everything totally bespoke for you; The Oysterman will be on hand to show you how you can add a bit of classy seafood to your day – this wandering seaman is a reception hit for sure.  The Something Brewed Coffee Bar will be there too, because, let’s face it, the time for tepid hot water urns and crappy ground coffee is up, isn’t it really?! Also check out our newest members Doughmans Land who promise amazing wood fired pizza from their super-cute pizza truck.

Daisy Fay’s Mobile Libations will be our on hand boozer showing you how a pop-up bar can bring those gatsby feels!

Turning the wheels of steel on the day will be One More Tune (formerly of Glasgow Club night legends Pin-up Nights); For that indie feeling full band experience you’ll want to chat to the lads at Killer City Sound and ceilidh experts Scotch Bonnet should be your beeline if you’re looking to mix in some traditional dances from a talented band. Bygone Booth are your OG vintage photobooth, memory making experts so hit them up at the market to make record of those wedding day lolz! And making their debut not-to-miss is Rusty’s Travelling Piano Bar!

Not forgetting the beautiful blooms of Myrtle & Bracken the queen of rambling style – bringing the moody romance and ethereal feels; and Meadow Isle will be on hand to show how your wedding day blooms can be a forever heirloom with her signature whimsical & fresh style. And don’t miss brand new to our gang Fleur Essence, debuting her colourful florals for the first time with us too!

So don’t snooze on this wedding planning dream day! Get your gang and grab your tickets now!
