real wedding –  December Wedding with Major Mayfair Magic from Benjamin Wheeler

7 May 2018
stylish mayfair London winter wedding

I’m not often speechless, but all I’ve been doing for the past hour or so is gasping in delight at this STUNNING wedding from Benjamin Wheeler. It’s editorial chic without being arrogant, glam without being garish, fierce style with a soft edge; just a totally beautiful celebration of two people’s love. And that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it really?

Emma and Simon’s Mayfair celebration was nothing short of magical, featuring a dazzling Jenny Packham dress and the world’s best selection of headpieces. Emma wore a ruffled blush number under a veil for the ceremony before changing into a towering disco-ball-style beauty for the reception (it really is as incredible as it sounds). Guests also each had a pompom headband as their favour to accompany the personalised ink drawing that was their place setting!

Their day was a veritable utopia of stunning settings – Emma got ready at Claridges before heading to St Paul’s in Knightsbridge for a candlelit ceremony. The beautiful dinner and electric afterparty were held at the Savile Club – a magnificent townhouse in the heart of London, which was decked from floor to ceiling in stunning muted florals. That soft winter lighting that’s practically glowing whilst rivers of soft tulle trail along London pavements and a flower-adorned vintage car whistles through the streets of Mayfair make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I know we, collectively as a nation, want it to be sunny summer desperately, but is it bad I’m already looking forward to the magic of winter again when it looks this beautiful? SUE ME. In fact, blame Benjamin Wheeler, who’s responsible for this mind-blowingly beautiful set of photos, and assistant photographer for the day, Emilie White Photography. #TWC dream team or what?
