CLASSIC SONGS WITH FRESH SOUNDS
Without tooting our own horn, we’re constantly providing you with gorgeousness for your eyes, but today we’re also providing you with gorgeousness for your ears in the form of über-talented piano duo Ginny & The Tonic. They’re a Glasgow-based 2-piece act with live piano and 2 gorgeous smooth vocals, taking on your favourite songs with fresh zest and a new twist. Ginny & The Tonic are brilliantly filling the gap where you want live music on classic instruments on your wedding day, but preferably not played by the same white-tuxedoed, white-haired man who played the piano at your family Christmas meals 20 years ago. We’re super happy to be welcoming this crazily skilled duo as The Wedding Collective directory members, so we asked them a couple of questions to get to know them a bit better. Call it a vocal warm-up…
WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We are Ginny & The Tonic from Glasgow, Scotland. Our real names are Stefanie & Andrew!
DESCRIBE YOUR WORKPLACE
We work from home in the Southside of the city with our cat Archie! There’s a piano in our kitchen where we create, rehearse and learn songs and make new arrangements of the music we love!
HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?
We met at university while studying music. We are engaged, getting married in October 2018. We started Ginny & The Tonic playing in cocktail bars and then decided to film a video in August 2016 that went a bit viral on Facebook. 70K views later – here we are! (Cracking vid below…)
We are really proud to show you our first official promotional video for Ginny & The Tonic. With this video, we also launch our brand new website. We'd love you to watch and share! G&T x

FAVOURITE WORK TO DATE?
The #HappyNewMcTaggs wedding on Hogmanay 2017 at Kinkell Byre. Kelly & Lee had amazing ceremony song choices including Sam Smith’s Latch and Rudimental’s Feel The Love mixed in with some Chaka Khan.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
We’re inspired by all genres of music, from Sinatra to Sia. When couples let us into their musical world, we are always grateful that we get to be part of it. Music is such an important part of life and love and we get to interpret something that means everything to the people around us, and that is pretty special.
DESCRIBE YOUR TYPICAL DAY.
It starts with getting woken up by little Archie the cat, followed by emails until lunchtime. We’ll then practice our songs for the week and Ginny will cook our favourite pasta, aptly named “Paul Simon Pasta”. We’ll listen to Graceland and eat linguine.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO GO?
We LOVE Julie’s Kopitiam in Shawlands. And we’ll forever be dreaming of the next time we can go back to Disneyworld! Waiting for Star Wars land…
FAVOURITE WEDDING VENUE?
GG’s Yard in Gatehouse of Fleet is just the best. It’s new and has been made for weddings. They have the cutest overnight Snugs with amazing views and great food. Wedding heaven!
TRENDS YOU HOPE TO SEE MORE OF THIS SEASON
More Princess Leia capes and Stormtrooper Ushers.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?
As Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush so wisely said: “Don’t Give Up.”
