In true Wes Anderson spirit, this wedding is both fantastic and foxy, and a little bit dreamy too.
Jillian + Ryan’s Scottish Highlands wedding was a love-filled day which proved that the rain doesn’t stop the show. The wonderful Wedding Collective stallions Mirrorbox Photography captured the day at the gorgeous Monachyle Mhor, bringing the beauty to Balquhidder. Those soft, moody, romantic tones and those time-stopping frames are making our heart siiiiiing.
We’ve seen a fair few weddings in our time, and we’re gonna be honest with you – crafting a whimsical day without being twee is really, really difficult. Jillian + Ryan absolutely smashed it though, keeping those Wes-esque fantasy feels and the daydream elements without it being hackneyed or boring. Jillian’s effortless lace-topped Watters two piece in those blush tones with that gorgeous full Frida-style flower crown and Ryan’s The Kooples suit made them a stylish set of babes, whilst that Scottish downpour gave the day the feel of a ridiculous adventure. Their tables were all named after Wes Anderson films and denoted by their colourful graphic film posters, and two foxes sat atop their pink wedding cake. The rest of the venue was dressed with an eclectic woodlands mix, with metallic-painted wine bottles filled with taper candles and boughs of foliage.
Mirrorbox, Jillian and Ryan, we loooove you!
